Traditional mead, also known as honey wine, is a ferment made from honey and water. For optimal fruitiness and color, we have blended the mead with raspberries to create a wonderful balance of fermentation, sweet and tangy blossom honey and raspberry. This is a rather dry wine.

The naturopathic priest Sebastian Kneipp says about mead:
“Mead does a lot of good, it stimulates the appetite, promotes digestion, cleanses and strengthens the stomach, removes unhealthy substances and frees the body from what is harmful to it. Its effect is very beneficial for the blood, juices, kidneys and bladder, because it cleanses, dissolves and has a draining effect everywhere. Mead is a tonic for young and old. The Germanic tribes enjoyed extraordinary health and lived to a ripe old age. They owed both to their mead in particular.”

Our organic mead develops a slightly sweet honey aroma with a tart note and a fruity finish.
Drink suggestion
We recommend drinking the mead neat and chilled. In summer it is best enjoyed with 2-3 ice cubes in a social gathering, in winter it can also be warmed up as “mulled wine”.
